Step Back in Time

Fort Seward offers a chance to see what early life in Jamestown looked like throughout the summer with Tent City. Tent City is constructed in a way that demonstrates life before building at Fort Seward. 

Our volunteers and staff work hard to keep history alive as well as providing opportunities for authentic experiences of life on the prairie. And history isn't just for adults. Fort Seward hosts 'Dakota Hope Playground' as well as regular activities for kids to have fun while learning about Fort Seward, history and Jamestown.
